In Point

Table of contents:

What is an in point?

An in point marks the exact frame where a video clip starts within an editing timeline. Setting accurate in points is crucial for precise editing, enabling scenes to begin at the intended moment.

What are in and out points?

In and out points define the start and end frames of a video clip you want to include in your project, allowing you to select specific segments for editing.

How do you change your in or out point?

Move the playhead to the new position and reset the in ("I") or out ("O") points, either by using keyboard shortcuts or by dragging the markers in your editing software.
