Table of contents:

What is multicam editing?

Multicam editing allows video editors to work with footage from multiple cameras simultaneously, syncing the clips to easily switch between angles during the editing process. It’s commonly used for live events and podcasts to show varied perspectives.

How do you flatten a multicam clip?

Flattening a multicam clip means converting the multicam clip back into a regular video clip, locking in the selected camera angles or edits.

In most editing software, you would have to right-click the multicam clip and choose Multicam > Flatten to convert it to a regular clip.
